Seeing a psychiatrist is usually a difficult, stressful decision. You might be feeling at a low point in your life, or that something is just not working for you anymore. You are not alone.
I will take the time to understand you and your situation. How can we best collaborate to help you make progress toward your goals?
More than a diagnostic label.
At the end of our initial meeting, I will share my impressions. A holistic approach can be useful to understand the central dysfunctional processes that interact and lead to emotional suffering.
I think a diagnosis is helpful when it resonates with your lived experience and guides us in the most appropriate treatment.
Evidence-based treatment personalized for you.
I will explain my rationale for the recommended treatments for your psychiatric issues. We will discuss your questions before deciding on a treatment plan that helps you reach your goals. If we continue to work together after an initial evaluation, we will monitor your response and progress, and make adjustments when indicated. If you are seeking a second opinion or one-time consultation, I can speak with your current provider or PCP about diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
